Today at Cardiff’s
Quarry Hall care home, which offers residential and nursing care, as well as memory care for those living with dementia, Residents had a lovely dinner to mark the anniversary of D-Day.
Residents decorated the home’s coffee shop in British flags and fancy table clothes, then a minute silence was held to remember all the people who were lost on that day.
The chef made everyone a delicious dinner which was served with the whole dining experience; a glass of fizzy wine or a nice cold pint.
Frank, Bill, Roz, Molly, Pam and Thelma, who joined in with the fine dining experience, said they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. One commented, “It was nice to have dinner somewhere else.”
Pam added, “This is fantastic, can I come again?”
Colleague, Carla, remarked, “This is lovely, looks like they enjoyed it. It was been overall a very good afternoon.”
