This afternoon the Residents at Kirkby House care home, in Merseyside, thought they were just having a nice organised music quiz… however afterwards, it was stepped up a notch as they were taken into a fully decorated dining room made to look like a traditional tea room.
Residents were overjoyed with the effort that Colleagues had gone to in order to create an enjoyable afternoon. Everyone was able to relish in a selection of cakes; and the cream scones with strawberries went down a delight! Also served were a selection of flavoured teas and coffee, and some even treat themselves to a cocktail.
Lots of singing and dancing could be seen in the tearoom as well as a little ballroom dancing.
Tracey Conlin, the Home’s Manager, commented, “It really was a wonderful afternoon with some lovely cakes; enjoyed by Colleagues and Residents alike. One of our ladies Paula, was very good at the dancing and provided us all with a little ballroom show”.
