A royal knees up at White GablesResidents, colleagues and family at White gables care home enjoyed participating in a local tea dance in honour of the upcoming royal wedding.

They had a lovely buffet lunch with entertainment organised by Vintage Scene. Six residents, four Colleagues and two relatives drove the short half a mile into the local village to enjoy a delicious spread of sandwiches and cakes, bottomless cups of tea and some delightful singing provided by the entertainment staff.

The White Gables tables were located very close to the stage, and when the singer overheard wellbeing coordinator Katherine, singing along she was promptly summoned on stage to perform.

During the proceedings there were three adorable dogs brought in by the singer. They chased balloons, played fetch with the visitors and generally brought smiles to everyone’s faces. Just before the singer finished her set she invited Katherine back up to sing Amazing Grace. Safe to say Katherine will sit at the back at future events. After the singing had finished, everyone enjoyed dressing up as various members of the royal family.
