A Roxburgh style afternoon tea partyThis afternoon the Residents of Roxburgh House care home, in Birmingham, hosted an afternoon tea party and everyone got involved.

Community and socialisation is something we really care about at HC-One, not only does it give everyone something to look forward to, but it boosts morale, lifts spirit and is an activity that everyone enjoys doing, that is why our special afternoon tea parties are regular and well planned events.

For Roxburgh care home, this was no different. As well as the standard tea and coffee there was a large selection of finger sandwiches, cakes and even some alcoholic beverages for everyone to enjoy. All Residents were involved and were having a cuppa and a natter amongst themselves.

One Resident commented how she has always enjoyed afternoon tea at the home and likes to chat to the staff to see what they have been up to.

Home Manager, Linda Wilkes, remarked, “A Roxburgh afternoon tea party is always full of smiles and laughter, we have great feedback and I am so pleased it is something that Residents can look forward to.”
