A poem by Marjorie Haigh and Jane Allen of Roxburgh HouseWellbeing Colleague Jane Allen sat down with Resident Marjorie Haigh at Roxburgh House, in Cradley Heath, who decided to write a poem to share their thoughts and feelings around Covid-19, and how things have changed in recent months; including the ‘new’ way of living now.

They sent in their poem to HC-One, please see this below:

Covid Pandemic of 2020,

All in lockdown, no family to see,

No school for children they had to home teach.

So peaceful and quiet as the world went to sleep,

But the wildlife woke up, little birds we heard tweet.

Shops and pubs closed, no public to meet.

Face masks are worn, social distance please!

Keep up the hard work, this Covid we’ll beat.

Jane commented that she loved spending some quality time together with Marjorie while writing the poem.
