A perfect tribute for a perfect ladyAugustus Court care home was pleased to receive a heartfelt gift in memory of the late Dorothy Dobson, thanks to the generosity of son and local estate agent Mike Dobson.

Mike’s generosity of a beautiful oak bench has now taken pride and place at the front of the home.

Dorothy used to be part of the home’s respite club before taking up permanent residence in September 2016. She sadly passed away in June of this year.

Dorothy was always heard to say, “The only thing missing is a bench” and now thanks to Mr Dobson the memorial bench can be enjoyed by Augustus Court’s residents, visitors and staff.

Mike, who used to visit Dorothy three to four times a week, had become a permanent fixture of the home and was well known to staff and residents.

Care Home Manager Adam Lyle said: “I cannot thank Mike Dobson enough, for this generous gift. It is a fitting memorial for Dorothy and will take pride of place within the home.”

Home Administrator Kim Morris added: “This is the perfect tribute, to a perfect lady”.
