A new feathery friend brings joy to ResidentsAn unusual visitor made an appearance at HC-One’s Park House Care Home in Guisborough, Redcar, last week.

A Pencil Laced Wyandott Chicken called Julia paid a visit to Park House, courtesy of Maria, the daughter of one of the Residents Harry.

Maria has taught Julia how to do tricks and the Residents were delighted to see her count to ten, tapping out the numbers with her beak on a little drum, pointing out the correct colours and ringing a bell.

Julia was very friendly and enjoyed being fussed over by the Residents, who enjoyed stroking her soft feathers.

Residents loved meeting Julia and seeing her perform her tricks, commenting:

“We really hope we can see her again soon.”
