Three Residents from HC-One’s Douglas View care home in Hamilton enjoyed the VIP treatment during a day at the races on Thursday 6th June.
Douglas View Residents were invited to attend Hamilton Race Course for a VIP day at the Dukes Suite. Denis Doyle, Matthew Lennox and John Keegan were delighted to accept the invitation and were excited as they arrived at the race course for the day.
The group were greeted by security and escorted to the race course viewing point, where Residents were able to get a great view of the races. Everyone put on a bet or two and cheered for their horses as they galloped around the track.
The gentlemen had a wonderful time at Hamilton Race Course, Denis said: “What a great day, I have really enjoyed myself.”
Douglas View Home Manager, Lyndsey Barnes commented: “Thank you to Hamilton Race Course for accommodating such a memorable experience for our Residents. The smiles on their faces on their return to the home were truly heart-warming.”
