Everyone at HC-One’s Eastbourne House care home in Whitley Bay raised a glass to all of the wonderful men in honour of Father’s Day.
The home was decorated in beautiful royal blue and a traditional roast dinner with all the trimmings was prepared by the kitchen team, each Residents chose their tipple of choice to accompany and the team collected them for their local Comrades Club.
During the meal everyone raised a glass to toast all of the special men in their lives and shared stories of being fathers as well as happy memories of their own fathers and grandfathers. A great day was had by all, with most of the gentlemen commenting that their highlight of the day was having a freshly poured pint from their local club delivered to them in the comfort of their own home.
Eastbourne House Resident, Eric Brown commented: “Thank you for a wonderful afternoon and a great pint.”
Eastbourne House Wellbeing Coordinator, Francesca Pattison said: “It was brilliant to be able to spend some quality time with the gents and treat them to something as simple as a pulled pint. It was great to see such wonderful smiles on their faces.”
Situated in The Links, Eastbourne House offers short and long term care packages for members of the Whitley Bay community that require residential care and residential memory care for those living with dementia.
