HC-One’s Stoneleigh Care Home in Stanley, County Durham have been celebrating the birthdays of two Residents this month, Joe and Darren.
Earlier in the month, Stoneleigh arranged a big party for Joe and Darren, 76 and 52. As the pair are both lovers of Elvis, the home arranged for Mike Memphis, an Elvis impersonator to come and perform.
Darren had a special surprise as his sister, who lives in a home in Newbiggin-by-the-sea paid him a visit. They hadn’t seen each other for years and it was a very emotional, happy reunion.
Joe also had lots of people come to wish him happy birthday as they all think the world of him and his ‘on top of the world’ attitude.
A buffet was provided throughout the day and everyone had their fill with sandwiches, quiche, sausages, steak and ale pie and various cakes.
Both Joe and Darren had a fantastic day and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the King of Rock and Roll.
