A Christmassy trip to the garden centreResidents at HC-One’s Greenways Court, residential and residential dementia care home in Consett, took a lovely trip out to the garden centre to see the Christmas displays.

Cath Hester, Jean Burrow, Mary Dawson and Joan Eltringham, all Residents who live at Greenways Court went to the Lintzford Garden Centre for some inspiration before making their own Christmas wreath for their bedroom doors.

The Residents picked up some really good ideas and were planning on the type of wreath they were going to make in the arts and craft session next week.

Everyone enjoyed a coffee with cake of course and a chat about what we needed to get ready for the wreath making.

Different types of wreaths have been ordered indifferent styles.

Once the wreath making was planned the Residents had a browse at all the decorations. Mary wanted a Christmas decoration for her great granddaughter. Joan’s daughter came along to the garden centre, she was showing her mam around the shop and pointing out all the lovely decorations.

The ladies had such a lovely time and it really got them in the Christmas spirit. Mary, remarked, “If you can’t get something hear where can you? It was all beautiful!”

Joan, said, “It was a lovely day. I have never seen so many decorations in one place.”

Kinga Kowaliczek, General Site Manager, added, “All the ladies had a lovely day out and got lots of inspiration for the wreath making session next week!”
