Residents at
St Peters Court, care home in Redcar, were feeling at Christmassy and thought a trip out to the local garden centre would get them in the festive mood even more.
It was a gorgeous morning for visiting Strikes Garden Centre. Residents David, Jude and Beverley, hopped onto the minibus and travelled down to the garden centre too see all the Christmas decorations.
The Residents of the 67-bed residential and residential dementia care home were in awe of all the decorations and displays. They admired the Christmas slippers and toilet rolls!!
No decoration was left ‘unlooked’, they saw everything. There were baubles galore, in every shape and colour, so much tinsel it would cover hundreds of Christmas trees, a life size reindeer who sadly didn’t have a red nose and a singing Christmas tree.
The ladies loved seeing not only the decorations but also everyone’s happy faces enjoying the festive fun. They enjoyed everything form the journey there to seeing all the beautiful decorations.
A fantastic morning was had by everyone, and they took the festive spirit back to the care home for everyone to enjoy.
One of the ladies, said, “I can’t believe all of this. Thank you for bringing me it has been fabulous. I feel all Christmassy now.”
Jamie Stephenson, Care Home Manager, added, “The Residents love having trips out it is such a pleasure to see everyone so happy.”
