A bit of fluffy fun comes to White Gables Care HomeWhite Gables Care Home in Skellingthorpe near Lincoln held their second annual dog show last Friday.

Residents at HC-One White Gables, along with several from nearby Willow Court (a sister HC-One home), enjoyed a spectacular show put on by Wellbeing coordinator Katherine Trevor. She had erected an obstacle course for the dogs to show off their speed and agility. There was also an obedience test and a show case of the dog’s special talents. There were hot dogs, Pimms and paw biscuits for the visitors to purchase and enjoy. To wind up the event there was a prize giving ceremony including prizes for agility times and best in show.

Everyone had an enjoyable afternoon, even though in drizzled with rain once or twice. We all stayed dry under the gazebo and large sun umbrellas. We hope that next year’s event will go just as well as this year’s.

White Gables administrator Karen Holmes said: “I’ve loved it again this year. Bailey also loved coming first in agility this year”.

White Gables resident Marge Potter said: “I’ve had a smashing afternoon. It brings back memories of playing with my dogs as a kid”.
