Doreen Brazier, a Resident at HC-One’s The Hyde care home in Bridport, Dorset celebrated her 97th birthday surrounded by family and fellow Residents on Wednesday 21st November.
It was an extra special birthday as Doreen’s daughter, son-in-law and grandson came all the way from Canada to celebrate with her special day. Doreen spent the day out with her family where she enjoyed a delicious crab sandwich at lunch overlooking the sea in West Bay.
When she returned to The Hyde, Doreen was presented with a birthday cake prepared by the chef as the team and fellow Residents sang happy birthday to her, afterwards everyone enjoyed afternoon tea.
Doreen, who used to be a ballerina and at 97-years-old is still nimble enough to teach the team at The Hyde how to plié.
