The Beeches care home in Tameside helped Resident Mary celebrate her 96th birthday with a very special friend.
Mary and Gladys, who are both Residents at the home and have been best friends since the age of ten, took a trip to the Wetherspoon pub in Stalybridge to celebrate.
The ladies enjoyed a meal of egg and chips while reminiscing about the times when they visited the pub after helping out at the local church group.
Mary said: “Thank you for my lunch to start my birthday celebrations. It’s been lovely reminiscing over old times and the food was lovely.”
Sade, Wellbeing Coordinator at The Beeches, said: “It was lovely to take best friends Mary and Gladys out to celebrate Mary’s birthday. I really enjoyed hearing all their stories about their memories together from the past.”
