One Resident is spending a lovely day celebrating her milestone 90th birthday at HC-One’s Beaconsfield Court care home in Barnard Castle.
Olive has enjoyed a relaxing day being pampered and fussed over by Colleagues for the special occasion.
Beaconsfield Court Home Manager, Laura Langridge, decided she would like Olive to have a special birthday cake so took it upon herself to bake and decorate an incredible cake.
It was Laura’s first attempt at baking a birthday cake and the end result was fantastic. The two cakes were shaped to form a ‘90’ and then beautifully decorated in pink and white icing with glitter and ornate flowers.
Laura said: “I wanted to make the Resident a special cake for her special birthday. It’s not a bad outcome for my first attempt at making and decorating!”
