Rose Dye, a Resident at HC-One’s The Polegate care home in Polegate celebrated her 80th birthday with fellow Residents and team members in the home.
Despite restrictions on visitors to the home caused by the coronavirus outbreak, the team were determined to ensure Rose had a wonderful birthday. She started her day opening cards and gifts sent from friends and family which were proudly displayed throughout her bedroom.
In the afternoon, Rose was joined by fellow Residents and team members at The Polegate in the lounge for a birthday party, everyone gave their best wishes and sang happy birthday as Rose was presented with a birthday cake.
A great day was had by all, especially Rose, who was very grateful to have celebrated her birthday with everyone at The Polegate.
Emma Rich-Spice, Home Manager at The Polegate said: “I am so pleased we were still able to give Rose a day of celebration, it was lovely to see her smiling and having fun.”
