Residents and members of the care team at Avalon Park welcomed entertainer Deborah McCormick AKA “Dee” to the home to take the Residents back to the 1950’s.
Dressed in 1950’s attire, Dee sang many of the Residents favourite songs including songs from Doris Day, Chuck Berry and more.
Residents reminisced about the first time they ever heard the songs and about the dances they used to go to.
Resident Margaret commented:
“I think my jiving days are over but I can certainly still hand jive!”
