Summerhill care home in Kendal has celebrated the commitment to care of 43 staff members as they received Long Service Awards.
The celebrations included an afternoon of cake and hot drinks, which recognised the long service of staff members at Summerhill who had been working for HC-One for more than five years.
The home’s chefs made a triple chocolate cake and Swiss rolls to mark the occasion, while each staff member was awarded a certificate and badge to commemorate their achievements.
One Care Assistant commented: “I love my job. Everybody at Summerhill is so nice and I’m looking forward to doing another 15 years with HC-One.”
Kathleen Dean, Home Manager at Summerhill, said: “At HC-One, we aim to provide the kindest possible care to our Residents. The support from our loyal and committed staff really helps to support our high quality care, so I am delighted their hard work has been recognised with these awards.”
