Winters Park care home in Penrith has thrown a party in celebration of Resident Nellie Gibson’s 100th birthday.
Nellie, who turned 100 years old on 23rd December 2018, was joined by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren for the party, where she was presented with a card from the Queen.
Prior to the party, staff at the home helped Nellie get ready for her big day by getting her hair styled and nails painted.
Susan Thompson, Home Manager at Winters Park, said: “We love organising parties to celebrate our Residents’ special events at Winters Park, but turning 100 is something extra special. It was lovely to see Nellie surrounded by her loved ones for her 100th birthday.”
