Last week, HC-One CEO James Tugendhat was invited to speak at the Healthcare Business International (HBI) 2024 conference, where he shared insights on our commitment to enhancing care quality through digital tools and technology.

In an exclusive video interview with HBI, James elaborated on HC-One's innovative use of data-driven approaches, combined with HC-One's culture, to revolutionise care practices, boost efficiency, and provide insights that directly benefit residents.

In addition to his interview, James participated in a high-profile panel discussion at the conference focusing on the elderly care sector. The session - "Sector in Focus: Elderly Care" - addressed the ongoing challenges this sector faces in the wake of the pandemic , compounded by rising costs and labour shortages. Joined by Marja Aarnio-Isohanni, Former CEO of Esperi Care, and Alberto Fernandez, CEO of Healthcare Activo, James explored new innovative models that are being deployed to overcome these hurdles.

The panellists delved into how digital transformation and flexible employment models can have significantly impacts on outcomes for both residents and colleagues. This is where James highlighted HC-One's proactive steps in adopting these models to ensure resilient and high-quality care services, at scale.

Throughout HBI 2024, the overarching theme of our discussions washow embracing technology, in combination with culture and leadership, can create sustainable solutions that address both current and future challenges in elderly care.
