HC-One celebrates being shortlisted as a finalist in The Northern Echo, County Durham Together AwardHC-One is delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Large Company of the Year’ category by the judging panel at The Northern Echo, County Durham Together Awards 2021.

The Northern Echo, County Durham Together Awards in conjunction with Durham County Council are running for the second consecutive year, and shine a spotlight and celebrate the selfless unsung heroes who have worked tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to make a difference to those in their community. The awards recognise those who have gone the extra mile to make things better for others in the County Durham community and those who have helped make a positive difference throughout the pandemic.

HC-One has been named as a finalist in the ‘Large Company of the Year’ category where the award will be presented to a large County Durham company, with excess of 250 employees, that has demonstrated that they have helped and supported the greater good throughout the pandemic. This includes providing kind care and support during the pandemic.

Nicola Bales, Managing Director at HC-One, commented:

“I am extremely proud that HC-One has being recognised as a finalist at the prestigious, Northern Echo, County Durham Together Awards 2021. The pandemic has presented many challenges for our care homes but it has also highlighted our amazing Colleagues who are truly our unsung heroes of the pandemic.

“Our Colleagues have worked together to do so much to help, support and care for our Residents living in our care homes. Being named as a finalist acknowledges our Colleagues at HC-One for their hard work and the kind care that they have shown to each other, Residents and Relatives, as well as the dedication and passion they show every day to ensure the people they support receive the best quality care.

“The awards highlight their acts of kindness, the great work they are doing in our homes and provide us with a chance to say thank you to them for the selfless work they continue to do every single day.”

The Northern Echo, County Durham Together Awards dinner and ceremony is due to be a live event, and take place in person this year, on Thursday 9th December 2021 at the Ramside Hall Hotel, Carrville in Durham, when the winners will be announced.

James Tugendhat, HC-One’s Chief Executive Officer, said:
