David, who lives at Pytchley Court Care Home in Brixworth, is an independent spirit, eager to enjoy life to the fullest.
David shared his love of sailing with Judy, the Wellbeing Coordinator at Pytchley Court, and expressed his desire to build his own boat.
While Judy knew that building a boat on-site at the home would be difficult, she was determined to grant David’s wishes so she found an alternative that would still let David experience the joy of being on the water, with a special day out at the local sailing club.
This heartwarming day on the water is a perfect example of how a little kindness, compassion, creativity and courage can go a long way in enriching the lives of those we care for.
