At Kirknowe Care Home, life feels welcoming and homely. Our beautiful landscaped garden and patio are much-loved places to relax or spend time with family and friends, and many Residents enjoy helping to keep them looking their best.

Every bedroom is light, comfortable and wheelchair accessible, and Residents are encouraged to bring cherished belongings or small pieces of furniture to make their space feel truly their own. Our caring team has created a real family atmosphere, celebrating special occasions together and making each day meaningful.
Led by our compassionate Home Manager, the Kirknowe team provides individualised care tailored to every resident’s needs and preferences. Each care plan is personal — covering health, diet, faith, hobbies and family input — to ensure every resident feels comfortable, supported and cared for with genuine kindness.

Kirknowe Care Home is located on Stewarton Street in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire, just a short distance from the town centre and local amenities.

If you’re travelling by car, the home is easily reached via Main Street (A721) or Caledonian Road (A722), with convenient links to Motherwell, Hamilton, and the M74 (Junction 6). Limited on-site and nearby on-street parking are available.

Regular bus services stop close to the home, connecting Wishaw with nearby towns and villages. Routes 240, 241, and 267 all run along Stewarton Street and Main Street, with the nearest stops just a few minutes’ walk away.

For those arriving by train, Wishaw railway station is less than 10 minutes’ walk from the home, offering direct services to Glasgow, Lanark, and Motherwell.
