Penrith care home celebrates harvest festivalHC-One’s Cold Springs Park care home enjoyed harvest festival celebrations recently as they welcomed the local community into the home.

Residents were delighted as children from the local primary school attended the home to join in with celebrations which were held by a preacher from the local Methodist church.

The celebrations were in full swing as the children sang a variety of harvest songs before Residents read from an autumn poem.

Everyone joined in with prayers of thanks for the celebration with the donated display of fruit, vegetables and home made preserves, which were later distributed to the local Salvation Army.

To end the event nicely, everyone enjoyed an afternoon tea and slice of home made cake.

Jacqueline Johnstone, Home Manager, commented: “A great display of harvest celebration was had throughout the home. Residents have fully enjoyed themselves.”
