Henley-on-Thames care home Residents enjoy last boat trip of the yearResidents from  Thamesfield care home in Henley-on-Thames – part of HC-One, the kind care company – enjoyed their last boat trip of 2019 on Monday 9th Septmember.

Everyone was excited to head out onto the Thames, especially, 100-year-old Mrs Hambly who got into the sailing spirit as she donned the captains hat. Mrs Earl admired all the beautiful houses and recalled fond memories of bikes rides along the Thames in her younger days.

The group sampled delicious treats prepared by the home’s chef as they sailed down the Thames enjoying the peace and tranquillity of being on the water. A great time was had by all, one Resident commented: “What a wonderful afternoon, I loved being on the boat.”

Thamesfield home manager, Lina Nela, commented: “I am so pleased that everyone enjoyed the last boat trip of the year and we are all looking forward to being able to head back out onto the Thames next year.”
