Hebburn care home wears pink in support of breast cancer charityHC-One’s Hebburn Court care home in Hebburn, Tyne and Wear supported a national breast cancer charity by taking part in wear it pink day to raise vital funds and awareness on Friday 18th October.

Breast Cancer Now’s wear it pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK. Taking place during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, thousands of amazing people wear it pink in their communities, schools or work places for the UK's largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now.

Residents baked homemade cakes for an afternoon tea in an effort to raise awareness of Breast Cancer Now, everyone commented on how lovely the cakes were and how important it is to support charities.

Hebburn Court Home Manager, John Lafferty said: “It’s so important to support the amazing work that charities like Breast Cancer Now do for so many people across the UK and beyond.”
