Residents at Windsor Court care home in Goole enjoyed a journey back in time as they visited York Railway Museum.
It was full steam ahead as Colleagues Jodie and Keith accompanied Residents Lillian, Brenda and John on the trip, who loved wandering around the museum admiring the different trains on display.
The trip was finished off with a delicious lunch and refreshing drink in the old carriage-themed restaurant, as Residents shared memories of train journeys growing up.
Patricia Owen, Home Manager at Windsor Court, said: “The York Railway Museum trip was a great success, as it gave Residents the opportunity to remember and visualise how transport has changed in their lifetimes.
“Following the outcome of this trip, we will be organising more visits like this so more Residents can enjoy a journey back in time.”
