Bishop Auckland care home hosts Harvest FestivalHC-One’s Bishopsgate Lodge care home in Bishop Auckland, County Durham hosted a fun-filled day on Friday 27th September with Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and its annual Harvest Festival.

Tea lovers and cake connoisseurs came together for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at Bishopsgate Lodge, a variety of baked goods and warm beverages were on offer which all of the money raised being donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Later in the day, a variety of autumnal activities were on offer, including a name the scarecrow, tombola, fruit basket raffle and much more. Children from York House Nursery also joined the celebrations to sing hymns with Residents.

A great time was had by all, Residents commented on how lovely it was to welcome to many people into the home and see everyone having a good time.

Bishopsgate Lodge Home Manager, Sarah Rigby said: “The harvest festival is an important day in our calendar when we can encourage community engagement, create new links with our Residents, and hopefully form new friendships.”
