Residents at HC-One’s The Elms care home have enjoyed keeping in touch with their Relatives and loved ones recently through video calls as they are still unable to have visitors to the home.
As the Residents have been unable to see their Relatives as they would usually like to, they have enjoyed instead taking part in video calls through Skype and Zoom on the home’s tablets.
The Residents have found this to be amusing as they are able to chat with their loved ones on the screen, and some have found this different to what they are used to.
Katie Coulson, home manager, commented: “The Residents have enjoyed this change, they have found it amusing to watch their loved ones on their screens but take comfort in knowing they are able to keep in touch.”
