Warrington care home Resident gets knitting againHC-One’s Summerville care home Resident, Phyllis did not think that she would be knitting again after arriving in the care home, however, she was delighted that Colleagues helped to encourage her to keep her wonderful hobby.

Phyllis took her needles, and with the help of home manager, Iqbal Sidhu, she began knitting again, starting with small squares and gradually moved on to more complex designs.

Through the kind words of encouragement offered by Colleagues in the home, Phyllis was delighted to have started knitting again, rekindling her love for the pastime. To make her hobby even more special, Phyllis recently found out that she would be expecting a great grandchild in April, and has since begun knitting some beautiful items of clothing.

Iqbal, home manager, commented: “We are so proud of Phyllis and what she has achieved, it’s amazing to see the change in her as she has become more motivated and happier in herself.”
