Residents at HC-One’s Westwood Lodge care home enjoyed an afternoon of celebration as they commemorated the 75th anniversary of VE day together.
The home was decorated in red, white and blue as Colleagues prepared a delicious afternoon tea trolley complete with war time music playing, which Residents especially enjoyed.
The Residents enjoyed sampling a selection of delicious cakes before sitting and telling stories of their experiences of VE day 75 years ago and the celebrations they enjoyed.
One Resident remarked: “I remember enjoying a street party with all of our family members and enjoying the celebrations together on VE day. It has been wonderful to celebrate today.”
