Upwood care home Residents receive postcards of kindnessResidents at HC-One’s Manor House care home have been delighted to receive a selection of postcards of kindness over the recent month, many complete with a variety of questions and interesting facts.

The cards have been received from others in the community, with each one differing to the next. Residents have enjoyed looking through the many questions and facts written on each, discussing each of the questions with one another.

Residents have enjoyed creating their own cards in response as they aim to reply to each of the questions, as well as writing letters and drawing pictures to accompany their cards.

Creating the post cards brought back many memories for Residents, as they thought of lost pen pals and places they’d been in their lives.

Bhekimpilo Perelion, home manager, commented: “The postcards are lovely ways to remain engaged with the local community, we have enjoyed conducting our own responses and look forward to receiving more.”
