Tranent care home Residents enjoy Donkey Sanctuary visitResidents at Tranent care home in Coal Neuk, East Lothian enjoyed a visit to the Scottish Borders Donkey Sanctuary.

The charity provides permanent accommodation for donkeys and mules in need of re-homing and was a popular visit for the animal-loving Residents at Tranent.

Everyone was delighted to meet the rescued donkeys, in addition to the llamas, pigs, sheep and Muffin the mule.

Residents stroked the adorable donkeys as they learned about their background before coming to the sanctuary.

The trip was such a great success that another group of Residents visited the following week.

One Residents said: “This has just been amazing” while another added: “My favourite animals. I’m over the moon.”
