A group of Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s The Elms care home enjoyed a visit to their local Park Lane primary school, to visit the children.
The group enjoyed a wonderful visit as they socialised with the children who were playing in the playground, bringing back memories of the Residents’ childhoods.
The visit was so well-received that the home are in talks with the school to arrange a weekly visit. On the return home, the Residents decided they would like to stop for a coffee, so the group visited their local café for some warm refreshments.
The Residents were pleased to meet some old friends there, where they chatted and reminisced about their early days.
One of the Residents enjoyed it so much, remarking: “It’s been great going out into the community and exploring the local area.”
