Stockport care home has first outdoor visitsHC One’s Appleton Manor care home has welcomed Relatives for outdoor visits for the first time since lockdown today.

This week was the start of letting Residents into the garden area of the care home in Stockport, to be able to reunite in person with their loved ones again.

It was wonderful to be able to see the Residents be able to be within a safe distance of their family or friends again, being able to finally speak in person after such a long time due to the pandemic.

Government guidelines and socially distance measures have all been put in place to keep everybody safe, and overall the visits are going very well.

One Relative commented “I’m so happy to be able to see my mam, even if it’s just for a short time. I know she is being well looked after too.”

One of the Residents who got to see one of her friends said to her “oh I’m so glad you came, you can tell me all the gossip!”

Wellbeing coordinator Sarah said “It’s lovely to be able to share these special moments with the Resident catching up with their family and friends.”
