Stalybridge care home has first outdoor visitsHC One’s Millbrook care home has welcomed Relatives into their garden for the first time since lockdown for outdoor visits.

This afternoon the Stalybridge home had some Relatives come and visit some of the Residents. Hilda was visited by her daughter Kathleen, whilst Joan and Phil were visited by Lynne.

Relative Lynne commented “this is much better than window talking” and Resident Hilda said “I loved seeing Kathleen without the window.”

The gazebos have really came in handy for this new situation that the home is finding themselves in. The gazebos are ideal to accommodate visitors when the weather isn’t so nice, whilst keeping at a social distance throughout.

Drinks were served to Residents only, to make sure Colleagues at the home kept within social distancing guidelines.

The home manager commented “The outside visiting is popular, we have quite a few of the 20 minute slots taken and getting calls from loved ones to get a space when possible.”
