Sherwood Residents parachute into armchair exercises
Residents at Acacia care home in Nottinghamshire took part in a group activity today by using the rainbow parachute to complete armchair exercises while listening to the rhythm of the music and trying to balance and keep the balls and bean bags on the parachute without them falling off.

One Resident was admiring the bright colours of the parachute and laughing at trying to keep the ball on it.

John, Doreen, Sheila, Irena, Janice, Carol and Raja all took part in the session and enjoyed rolling the ball onto the parachute. Many could be heard exclaiming, “Don’t let it fall off” and “Keep the ball rolling!”

The parachute made a lovely breeze when Residents were moving it up and down which they enjoyed too.

One Colleague commented, “We always love using the parachute as it can get everyone involved and it brings out a bit of competitiveness too. Plus, it gets the Residents up and moving which always has benefits. What a fab afternoon we had!”
