September celebrations as Garforth care home prepares for Harvest FestivalHarvest Festival preparations are well and truly underway at Augustus Court care home in Garforth, Leeds as Residents enjoyed an autumnal arts and crafts session.

Residents enjoyed the morning’s choir practice ready for Harvest Festival, while the afternoon was spent making scarecrows to decorate the home.

Finishing details of buttons, flat caps and farmer-style shirts were added to the scarecrows to give them a traditional appearance.

The afternoon was enjoyed by everyone taking part, as Residents had a harvest-themed sing-along over tea, coffee and a selection of delicious biscuits.

Jane Carr, Home Manager at Augustus Court, said: “Everyone enjoyed a fun-filled day getting ready for our Harvest Festival. We can’t wait to see how fantastic the home will look when the decorations are complete!”
