Scrabble board game helps Bath care home Resident build self-confidenceColleagues at HC-One’s Avonpark care home in Bath has been using the board game Scrabble to help a Resident build back her self-confidence after not being able to go to her local club.

Avonpark Resident, Jennifer Rushworth has been struggling lately with her self-confidence, so wellbeing coordinator Tash Smith has been challenging her to a game of Scrabble to help her build some confidence back in herself.

Jennifer has been enjoying the scrabble sessions and slowly these sessions have built up her confidence as Jennifer was struggling with the tiles and what words to make. Jennifer is a very intelligent lady who has the ability with being quick playing scrabble.

Having played a game on Wednesday 12th August and having spoken to Jennifer, Tash feels that she is getting better each time they play and she has noticed that she is quicker at putting the tiles down on the board.

Jennifer is quite pleased at her progress and hopes when she can go and join the group over RV again she will be able to feel more comfortable playing with others.
