Sandwell mascot leads Team Lyndon by exampleDuring the current circumstances, infection control training and updates are continually part of everyday life at Lyndon Hall care home in West Bromwich. So to make sure that training was never dull and always engaging, Infection Control Leads Jule Vaughan and Jacqui Hollis came up with a rather creative idea, and it has gone down extremely well!

They decided to use the homes cheerleading mascot 'Bow'. Who is a knitted teddy there to help out and demonstrate good practice, especially with donning and doffing training.

Bow can be seen hiding around the home checking on Colleagues which makes them smile. He lightens and brightens the day for everyone. See pictured Bow with Nursing Assistant Chloe Kimberley.

Residents enjoy hiding Bow around the home and checking on the Colleagues. One of the Lyndon Hall Residents observed, “It was nice to see the staff laughing whilst learning”.

Home Manager, Julie Hurst, said, “We are always coming up with new ideas here at Lyndon Hall and it’s great that we have such an enthusiastic team of individuals who keep the mood positive and happy, always”.
