Residents have a hoot at Colton care homeResidents at Colton Lodges care home in Colton, Leeds had a hoot as they created bird feeders to encourage more wildlife into the home’s garden.

Animal-loving Residents were keen to join in with the activity, as they filled containers with tasty treats for their feathered friends, including seeds, mealworms and fat balls.

Once the bird feeders were complete, they were hung around the garden so that Residents could see the birds visiting the feeders from their bedrooms.

Residents have loved keeping an eye out for the birds, with some even using binoculars to keep an ‘eagle’ eye out on the garden.

Dorothy, a Resident at Colton Lodges, commented: “I hope the little ones get to eat first!”
