Residents enjoy songs from days gone by at Wigston care homeColleagues and Residents enjoyed a good old sing song at HC one’s Magna care home today.

As Georgie, the Wigston homes activities coordinator, was on annual leave, another Colleague decided to cheer the Residents up by starting a sing-a-long.

The Residents faces were a picture and were delighted when asked to join in. They also gave out requests including ‘que sara sara’, ‘I believe’, ‘pack up your troubles in your old kit bag’ and ‘it’s a long way to Tipperary’.

Everyone enjoyed singing away to these old classics, it really lifted the spirit of the home for the day and brought back many memories for Residents.

One Resident, Arthur, loves the song ‘I believe’ and tried to copy the actions along to it.

Residents commented “we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and feel very happy.”
