Redcar care home Residents reminisce with sweet trolleyResidents at HC-One’s Roseberry Court care home in Redcar were recently surprised with a sweet trolley, that featured new and old sweets from the past, allowing Residents to reminisce about their memories when they were younger.

Residents from all floors of Roseberry Court care home were treated to a surprise sweet trolley on 16th September, which gave Residents an opportunity to choose from a huge array of classic sweets, both modern and old.

Some examples of the sweets on offer were Twirl bites, bourbon biscuits and classic fudges and toffees. This also give Residents an opportunity to reminisce about their younger days, when they used to go to the beach and on holidays.

“I remember, when I was younger, feeling all excited choosing the sweets from the jars on the shelf for my mix up,” commented Roseberry Court Resident, Donald.

Roseberry Court Residents were given little brown bags to fill with their chosen sweet delights, just like how they would in a shop.

Roseberry Court Home Manager, Robin Bennett said: “Residents today loved our sweet trolley they were able to choose their own sweets or choose a bag of surprise sweets.”
