Redcar care home Resident spruces up garden for summerA keen Resident at HC-One’s St Peter’s Court care home in Redcar has given the homes garden a makeover, ready for Residents and Colleagues to enjoy it in the summertime.

St Peter’s Court Resident, Cliff Lampard, who is very keen gardener, took full advantage of the recent beautiful weather and got himself into the garden to spruce it up in time for the lovely summer weather.

Cliff planted some lovely buds into the ground, which will soon grow into some gorgeous red roses as he wanted to make everyone feel happy. He also poured soil into pots that Colleagues had kindly bought for him, so that the garden could be decorated with some lovely potted plants.

Gardening helps keep elderly general health in a better state by strengthening bones, muscles and joints; it also helps the elderly with balance resulting in less falls; keeps blood pressure at bay; reduces the risk of heart disease and stroke.

We are very proud of cliff and have been very privilege to enjoy the court yard at its blooming.
