Residents at HC-One’s Rose Court care home were delighted to welcome the arrival of some new furry friends as some new chickens came to live at the home.
During a recent reminiscence session, Residents spoke of their joy at having previously had chickens in the home, so Colleagues decided to arrange for more to join them again.
Everyone has enjoyed being invovled, as Residents helped to choose the enclosure for the chickens to live in and spend each day admiring the animals, laughing at the little things they do.
The chickens have been a wonderful talking point in the home, with Residents delighted to have some furry friends back again.
One Resident remarked: “They are such lovely animals, it reminds me of when I was a little girl and we would keep chickens.”
