Puzzle time at Burton-on-Trent homeResident Shirley Smith has only been at Branston Court’s care home for a short while, so Colleagues have been encouraging her to join in with activities, particularly the puzzles.

This allows her to actively think but also to chat and have a nice cup of tea with other Residents and get to know them; you make lots of friends at Branston Court and it is a lovely place to be living. This helped Shirley to re-lice a previous hobby that she used to love doing when se was at home.

One Colleague, Lauren Slater, said, “This made Shirley extremely happy and she was delighted with the end result of her puzzle as it built her confidence being away from her old house.”

Pauline Gardener, who is the Home Manager at Branston Court, commented, “We always try to accommodate past hobbies at Branston to make it someone’s home where they can just relax and enjoy.”
