Perth care home Residents send postcards to Strathallan pen palsResidents at HC-One’s Catmoor House care home in Perth have been writing postcards to send to their pupil pen pals at the nearby Strathallan School.

Strathallan School is an independent boarding and day school in Perth, Scotland that teaches both boys and girls aged between 9 and 18 years old. The pupils from Strathallan have been kind enough to keep in touch with all of the Residents at Catmoor House, so the Resident’s have decided to write back.

One Catmoor House Resident said: “It is so nice to be able to keep in touch during these challenging times, I love it when we get letters read out to us.”

Maintaining this connection throughout the crisis has been fantastic for the wellbeing of Catmoor House Residents, as it allows them to be engaged in writing activities and gives them something to look forward to when they get a letter back.

Catmoor House Home Manager Carol Janet Riley said: “It is so lovely of the children at Strathallan School to think about the elderly at this time.”
