Pencoed care home staff receive cake donations from local bakerStaff at HC-One’s Glanffrwd care home in Pencoed, Wales have been on the receiving end of a lovely gift from a local baker.

Audrey Wyatt, a local baker in Pencoed kindly made all the staff in Glanffrwd cupcakes to give them a little treat whilst they are on the front line caring for their beloved Residents.

The cakes were accompanied with a lovely note that read;

‘Here’s a small token of our appreciation, to say thank you for all your hard work during these unprecedented times.

Stay safe and enjoy this little treat.

Love from Audrey x’

Tracy Williams, Christine Jones, Amanda Llewellyn and Rowan Brooks were among some of the lucky ones that managed to get a taste of one of Audrey’s lovely cakes and they all went down a treat.

Glanffrwd Home Manager Joan Thomas said: “It was a very kind and generous donation, it brightened up the staff’s day.”

All throughout the country we have seen these types of donations and no matter how big or small they always go a long way to help staff and Residents that are having a hard time during the lock down.
