HC One’s Acacia care home had a fantastic day celebrating the 75th anniversary of VE Day today.
Residents and Colleagues spent most of the day listening to a Vera Lynn CD, and singing along to the songs at the Nottingham care home.
Residents enjoyed being able to tell stories from what happened back then, reminiscing on times gone by.
You could hear streets close by celebrating the day too, it filled everywhere with such a great atmosphere despite the current situation.
The home put up flags and bunting which the Residents loved, there was also some delicious afternoon tea and cakes to enjoy.
A fantastic day was had by all, the celebrations really lifted everybody’s spirits.
